Youth Curling Programs:

Little Rocks Curling Program

Our little rocks program is intended to be a fun and interactive way to learn the sport of curling! Kids as young as 7 years old (as of Sep 1, 2025) can register to participate.

This group plays on Sunday's from 12:30-1:30pm (this start time is different that the 2024-2025 season)

Please note that our program focuses on safe play and all little rock participants are required to wear a helmet while on the ice

The coaches are very comfortable providing instruction on the elements of curling, but we need adult/parent volunteer to help us with the logistics. If you are willing to volunteer to be on the ice for some of the weeks, please indicate that in the ‘COVENOR NOTES’ section of the registration form. If we don’t have sufficient volunteers, we may not be able to run the program

U15 / U18 Junior Curling Program

CORE U15/U18 stream:

Sundays from 1:30-3:00pm, starting Oct 19, 2025
Develop team and sport etiquette while learning balance, delivery, sweeping, strategy
Participate in "in-club" games with other youth curlers in the Ayr junior curling program and at other clubs as part of the GRIT (Grand River Intercity Teen) curling interclub circuit!

COMPETITION U15/U18 stream:

Tuesdays from 4:45-6:15pm starting Oct 7, 2025 (additional practice time may be available Sundays depending on number of CORE junior members)
Focus on team building, structured game play, competition preparedness, refining existing skills, improving strategy & endurance
Participate in ad-hoc exhibition games with other youth curlers from area curling clubs on weekends
Compete in bonspiels, junior slams, Ontario Junior Curling Tour events, etc. at other clubs as a team

CORE JUNIORS (12-19 years old):

The regular return to curl date for Junior Curling is Sunday, October 19, 2025. The league time will change to 30 minutes later in the upcoming season: 1:30-3:00pm on Sundays.
